After salvation, the Lord still has a purpose for the Christian. He outlines this purpose in Matthew 28: 18–20:
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: (also see Mark 16:15)
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.” Amen.
This is called the Great Commission. There are two aspects of the Great Commission: the salvation of lost sinners and the education of those that are saved. Like the church in Antioch in Acts 13, our church family has banded together to accomplish this great purpose. In fact, you are looking at one of our outreach ministries right now — this web site. Below are listed some of our outreach ministries:

Spanish Ministry
The East Flat Rock community contains a large number of Hispanics, many of whom do not speak English fluently. Seeing this great need in the community and knowing that no one in our assembly could speak Spanish well enough to fill this void, we contacted Iglesia Bautista de la Fe in Greenville, SC. Since then, Brother Gilberto Lara has been coming to East Flat Rock to minister to the Spanish community. Brother Lara preaches in our Spanish service every Sunday at 4:00 p.m. and holds a prayer meeting every Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in our fellowship hall. Gilberto has a great burden for the lost in our Spanish community, and we are very grateful for his help in this ministry.

Missionaries
Mark 16:15
tells us that we should go
“into all the world, and preach the gospel.”
In that sense the mission field is not just some obscure location on the globe, but also in our own back yards. Everyone who has been saved from his or her sins is, therefore, a missionary to his or her own home and community. There are, however, certain individuals or families in whom God has placed a special burden for a specific group of people either here or abroad. Their burden is so great that they are willing to go and minister to that group of people and need other Christian’s support through prayer and money. These are the people that we generally think of as missionaries. Below is a list of missionaries that we support both financially and prayerfully.
